Option to show the center of the play-area in-game.
Some games offer this option, but it would be very useful to be able to permanently display the center of the play-area using the Guardian settings.
Allow us to set the size, color and transparency for bonus points.

We need to get this upvoted!

It's possible to implement this yourself with Guardian Boundary Editor. Just open it up and draw the arrow.

Instead of arm stretching and looking through the nose hole, just a small arrow at the bottom to always know your position in the room

At the very least an arrow pointing to the front of the play area would be extremely useful. So far I've had to manually add my own using the Guardian Boundry editor. Having that arrow is a godsend with a two-sensor setup. I know where my computer and sensors are (so I don't ram into it in my small room), can keep my cables straight when standing up, and rarely lose signal with my controllers. Very useful is an understatement.

Rec Room has this. It's basically perfect. It's like a small baseball home plate which points to the front of the play space.
It would be amazing for dash to be able to insert this into any game, perhaps using a similar mechanic as pinning windows from dash.. but where the location is static relative to the real world

Would love to see this added. One of things I like about the vive and steam vr is the ability to always know where the center of my play area is and which direction is foward

Add a configurable cable twist indicator like the steamvr app Turn Signal would be great too

Can't believe this option hasn't been available since like 12 months ago. Needing to remember which direction is forward, in order to stay facing your sensors, is a major detraction from immersion. If there's a marker on the ground or somewhere in the VR environment, it means I can forget about my where my sensors are in my room, and instead just think about where that marker is as it exists in VR (and thus forget about my actual room).

To add on to this option how about a small arrow pointing forward to easily straighten up.

I would like to extend this idea with a cable twist indicator. Many games already have one, having that option at the system level would be even better.

Yes a good idea especially for small play area's.

This is a great idea. Put a turn counter in while you are at it.

Good idea! And I second an indication of which direction is the front

I'd love this and in addition an outline of the bottom of the playspace.

Would love for this to also have a small arrow indicating the front.

Additional feature to help cord management: show number of horizontal rotations and direction with an arrow (clockwise/ccw) inside the play area center -circle (floor level). Rotation counter is reset when oculus service starts (or maybe with a reset button in the desktop app).
This would make "rewinding" super easy without taking off the headset to see how badly and which way the cord has twisted. When playing action games by turning with your body (the best way IMO), this feature would be pure gold.

It would be very helpful to always be able to see the center of the play area. This could be done with an unintrusive circle at floor level.
This is executed well in the game "Robo Recall", but I would like to see it as a system wide setting (to use it in all games).
