Allow us to disable the "your computer doesn't meet Rift's minimum specifications" notification.
As per the title. This nag screen actually uses UI space in the new dash UI sometimes covering objects.
I have a 2600K, a GTX 1080 and 16GB RAM yet I still get this message. Please allow us to disable it as it serves no function after the first time you see it.
Agree, please provide an option to remove the banner that floats in front of the UI/menu in the VR headset
bro i hate this

My issue isn't even obscure or out of date hardware. It is new hardware that more than meets the minimums. I got an RX 5600 XT a few months ago and it still hasn't been added to the whitelist. My CPU isn't the problem because I'm running a Ryzen 5 1600, which is totally supported. This message is an irritation. I used to laugh at it and shake my head. Now it fills me with rage. Fix your software!
2020 and still no official solution for that? Any way to hex edit app to force disable this stupid warning?

My system is well above spec (Ryzen 3950X and RTX 2060) and I see this message. I've had to use oculustraytool (3rd party) to spoof a cpuid to remove it. So far the only way i've seen to resolve this.
Simply give me an acknowledgment option and never see the nag again.
@William Whitt: Your comment makes no sense and does not add constructive value. Users and developers have systems that perform VERY very well. These customers should be able to dismiss warnings that they know are false. Period.
Still no solution?
I'm a developer and this stupid message is all the time in my vision.
2x Xeon X5660.

I am Also running a Xeon X5680 which is also beyond minimum requirements.
Oculus didn't take Xeon processors into consideration , we are gamers and of course we are going to use servers and workstations for high end gaming on the cheap.
This needs fixed so we don,t have to hack the registry to say we have some i7 cpu etc
I'm running a dual socket Xeon x5670 with 40GB ram... Trust me, the system is beyond the minimum requirements. There is no need for this message on the rift.
disable min spec warning I would not be using it if I could not play
also a toggle button to keep headset on to prevent game crashes especially when in mid game also saves sound hickups
David.. thanks, i will try that.

Try the Oculus Tray Tool to remove this warning.

I'm rocking an overclocked i7 860 from 2009 and it plays most games fine with zero issues. Consider the Oculus Tray Tool to disable this message while we wait.
My PC may not meet the min specs but it runs the games well. I, wholeheartedly, second this request. Why annoy your paying customers?
William Whitt commented
The 2600K is your issue.
It doesn't meet the minimum requirements, it's too old. I'd recommend upgrading your CPU regardless as it's basically ancient anyways
For some PC’s it might be correct, but its incredible annoying to have it in my interraction area. Its in my way.

Yeah, this message is super irritating with socket2011 SB-E processors which are actually in every regard quicker than some recommended AMD processors. Ok, it is a five year old platform which never was popular but there are still some people using them. This is especially the case because that every VR test program says the HW is ok, the games run well, then you still get a message that your computer doesn't cut it.
I tend to agree with this too. Please have the option to hidethis message

Since receiving the Oculus I have gotten the notification that my computer doesn't meet the minimum system requirement. (I'm running a AMD FX-8320, Raedon R9 390X, and 32gb or ram)
This wasn't really a problem, but with the new update the notification is right in your face and there is no way to get rid of it.
I would greatly appreciate if this was fixed in a future update.

The message isn't needed once the user has seen it. With the previous home the message was at least up and out of the way, with Dash it's always right in front of you. WE KNOW when our PCs don't meet spec, let us remove the message after we've been informed.
