Performance Decrease after Rift Core 2.0
Performance has decreased to where Games that I used to play with are unplayable.
Primary Game played Elite Dangerous. Graphics Card GTX780TI. System I7 - 4770, 32 GB Ram, Windows 10.
Elite Dangerous with Hello V (inserts browser in game) works flawlessly in Previous Version.
Enabling Rirft Core 2.0 without popping out any windows the performance drops where frames stutter.
Disabling Rift Core 2.0 and going back to previous, solves that problem immediately and everything works just as before.
Elite Dangerous is set to High on all settings and it works without a stutter.

Same here. I have to lower settings (supersampling from 1.5 to 1.3 or less) for every game I have tried using Rift Core 2.0
I Have 16Gb RAM, an i7 processor and a GTX1070.
Performance has me in Rift Core 1.0 because it's a no-no for me :(

Seeing a pretty drastic performance drop on GTX 1070 and otherwise fast system. Hopefully this is just beta code; I likely wouldn't use Dash due to the performance drop if not.

So performance went down the toilet after the last update. Now I can not do anything with rift. Tried new nvidia drivers... dropped back down 1 and 2 versions. Monitored GPu performance during this... oculus app takes up 20-60% of GPU now.

There is no reason that the Core 2.0 can not be changed to stop utilizing the graphic card when a game is on. For some reason it looks like Dash is still active when playing a game.

I'm on a lower spec machine and there is a significant decrease in app performance in Rift Core 2.0, to the extent that I've had to revert out from the beta program. Many games in both Oculus Home and SteamVR require significantly lowered settings to play and some games become unplayable. The performance problems this causes for me are huge. The overhead for functions not in use needs to be reduced massively - or something like a 'performance' button which disables certain features in more intensive games may be necessary.

This is a general performance enhancement that is needed. In previous Version running very smoothly. In this version 2.0 / 2.1 the performance of Dash after the desktop is opened, then closed or a window is pinned goes to ****.
It also gets worse over time as you are playing within a game that is started from within Rift Core / Dash.
The update did not fix the issue (it did make it better, but the issue still exists).
Games typically running smooth in High graphics mode with Rift Core < 2.0 are now having performance issues with Medium Mode.
Side Note: Using a third party app to pin browser windows, has very minor performance impact.

So follow up on this.... I believe that there is a memory leak in the software somewhere. It starts off fine, and then as I play the performance gets worse over time.
Closing everything out and restarting doe **** do anything.
Example:
Game set to High on everything prior to Rift Core 2.0
Rift Core 2.1 (update installed already) - Set Everything to Medium ... performance same as before. Over time the performance degrades tremendously!!!!
