Keep getting thrown out of home because i don't have a stable internet connection. Please make it local or fix a possible "wait for connection" kind of thing that doesn't boot you off within 10 seconds.
Good idea, but there is a thought. Only charge the home from the computer in the absence of decent speed. And it is very good to be able to rub the objects you have uploaded. Now, when you upload something and reinstall it, it can't be deleted and you can't download it from your home, and before that it was in a folder on your computer.

I agree! I have no VR friends and no urge to "share" my home online. I see no reason to upload every custom item and family pic I have in custom frames to Oculus so I can use it locally only.
Not to mention the long load times as for some reason it seems to download every object instead of load off my SSD every time I enter my home. (Waits for minute or so while every item slowly materializes into existence for no good reason)
Also the ever so fun constant home crashes when the wifi glitches for a few seconds kicking me out of my home with no comment or a error of multiplayer being lost due to internet dropping. (Home finally is entirely there only to disappear and reload again with a multiplayer error.... I'M NOT DOING MULTIPLAYER!!! MY HOME IS PRIVATE AND SHOULD BE OFFLINE FOR SPEED AND STABILITY!)
Having my custom home offline would be quicker to load and more stable!! I don't even have friends with Oculus and my homes are all set to Private so why do we have to have Internet and upload every item I have in the home? Why does Oculus need 3D models of my wedding pics when I will only ever be using my home locally??????
I wish there was a Minecraft style do and build anything VR app that I could build my perfect getaway in that was as realistic as Unreal Engine... yet as programically friendly to have plugins for mods like watching movies and playing games on Virtual screens...
Oculus Home could be that if they allowed for more Modding and Offline mode which didn't need you to upload anything to use.
I've basically given up trying to use Home due to slow loading (even with less than 50 items mostly nerdy models and family pics in frames) and not to mention privacy issues. Why upload pics of family then one security glitch and other people can now have my family pics in their homes! lol
Offline mode should have been the default mode!

YES! Let us remain inside home in offline mode, and sync the changes to the servers when the internet is back up. All other apps that rely heavily on the internet (like Outlook) do this.

Same goes for store.
