Welcome to the Oculus Rift S and Rift feedback forum! This is the location to provide all your feature requests and ideas for the Oculus Rift platform. We're looking forward to hearing from you on the following areas of the product:

  • Dash: Oculus Dash is the in-VR command center the pops up when you hit the Oculus button on your Touch controller. Dash allows you to access PC Desktop apps, your VR Library, and other system settings and services from anywhere in VR.
  • Desktop App: This is the out-of-VR Oculus application on your PC that allows you to do things like browse the store, manage your settings, and view your friends list, among other things.
  • General: Use this category for any feedback that doesn’t fit neatly into one of the other more specific categories.
  • Home: This is your customizable in-VR home where you can show off your unique style and decorations.
  • Store: The place where all VR app purchasing takes place. The Store category covers both the out-of-VR and in-VR stores.

  1. remove the distruptive battery low notification on Oculus rift s

    It is useless in competitive gaming, in my case, simracing.

    During a multiple hour race, I use my controller maybe 20 seconds. Just to open up virtual desktop or so. Then I just use my headset. In case the battery of the controller goes low, I just get a disruptive notification of battery. Mid-race, that means a crash. So race ruined for me and anyone I crash into. This can mean tens of hours of preparation, ruined by a usability feature that makes no sense.

    I have no use for that notification. It is just a mockery of my time…

  3. make the controllers recalibrate when you put them in front of the cameras/sensor

    it makes no sense that the controllers get stuck in the floor or glitch around even when the room is lit up and the sensors are detecting headset movement but not the controllers they only rotate I say add an update of some sort for the devices that re locates or re calibrates the controllers when put in front of the cameras to eliminate this issue

  4. Make NBA VR available for all of the Oculus Platorms

    I have the Rift S and I’m trying to use Next VR or Oculus Venues for it. I bought it a month ago so I can’t return it at this point. Why would you guys not make these applications available for all of your headsets? Oculus Venues is only available for the original quest. And Next VR is available for the Oculus Go. I have seen multiple people complain about this issue and other issues related. Please release an update making these softwares available, and when you release an application for any Oculus device why make it available to only…

  5. Allow upgraders the ability to receive a credit towards repurchases

    Like many people I’ve upgraded by oculus from a rift to a couple of quests. Unlike every other platform oculus is download only content and offers no upgrade on purchased content moving to a new device and offers no ability to transfer content to a new user when you pass on older devices. How about offering a credit for content deleted on older devices so they can be repurchased on the new device at either a discount or free.

  6. HDMI option on the rift-s setup

    I’ve wanted an oculus since the rift came out, I’ve finally saved up enough for the rift-s I “had” a VR ready gaming laptop but you guys switched out the hdmi for a DisplayPort and not everyone has that but I’ve gone through 3 adapters now and finally I get to one that works it goes green then after a bit red, I get that you guys changed the port for performance but why not keep the setup?

  7. Well I don't know if you still have membership with xbox if we can use oculus on xbox will be great

    Like xbox series x as you know isn't only console is pc too so is going to be super awesome if we can use our oculus rift s on xbox series x with 4k I'm sure everyone will love that

  8. Fix the poorly designed Retention knob gear does not hold the headband tight

    problem with retention knob -- headstrap will not stay tight. the slightest force or movement released the strap.
    This is not normal. The knob should be clicking when turned and thus adjusting the length of the headband. When you stop turning the knob, the strap should stay in the same position and not move on it's own.

    I tried to find a solution to this online but i only found more people with the same problem.

    the knob in the ratchet system has 3 prongs that push outwards and interact with teeth on…

  11. Option to hide real name

    Real name appears in various menus (most notably on the dash) which is problematic for various reasons, especially for those who wish to stream on public platforms (Twitch, etc.). There's no need to see your own name (you presumably already know it), but with the tightest privacy settings being 'Only You' this doesn't help if you want to broadcast what 'only you' can see.

  12. Add hot-keys for accessing Dash and Passthrough with the keyboard

    Add the ability to use a keyboard hot-key instead of the Oculus button on the handcontrollers for accessing Dash and Passthrough. Also make it possible to move the pointer and click on buttons inside Dash with the mouse so we dont need to use the handcontrollers. If you dont add the mouse support it would be enough with the Oculus button and a couple of the other buttons on the controller so Dash could be used with those keyboard shortcuts togeather with moving the pointer dot with the head.

  13. I have an idea that merits more than just a comment on this page. I am working on developing a location to enhance vr into reality.

    As I am still working on the patents and R&D for this. I would like to leave my email address, and assure you that this idea will connect the gaming world seamlessly into live sports.   15. Update Oculus rift accessories

    I got the oculus rift on Christmas of 2018 and since day one the right controller did not work at all. I have being asking staff at support for 2 straight years and did not get a replacement controller. Now as I try to just buy the right controller it isn't even available online on the website. So I thing Y'all need to restock the oculus rift accessories so I can finally play bloody Vr.

  17. Hold Menu Button on the Controller for x seconds to access it (prevents accidentally opening up the oculus home screen)

    How about implementing a Feature in the Options Menu to let's say "keep pressed the Oculus Home Button for at least 2 Seconds to activate the Menu"?

    Same maybe for the left button (since this opens up Steam VR Settings).

    I think this shouldn't be a big thing to implement and I guess I'm not the only person on earth with this "problem".

  18. Add controller calibration and customization options

    I've recently run into a problem with my controllers where one of my grip buttons has physically malfunctioned so that it is slightly pressed in, about 15-20% of it's range. This causes problems with some games due to the fact that the entire range is needed for interactions, and it's causing the grip release to be lagged. I believe this problem, and others like it, could be fixed with a menu where you can calibrate and adjust deadzones on the sensitive parts of the controller, as full movement and precision is needed for nearly any action in vr controls.

  19. Increase in customer support speed and effeciency.

    i have spent countless hours trying to fix an issue with support for a rift s that i purchased 3 months ago. I was told all the troubleshooting steps and this took hours of back and forth of emails and live chat to be finally told we have a specialist looking into your case wait 5 business days we will get back to you. If any small company would do such a thing the backlash would be insane but bigger companies permit themselves outrageous waiting times to return a product or refund.
